This beauty archetype is being harnessed in a new trend called ‘joyscapes’, which the report outlines as an opportunity to embrace play as an antidote to today’s mental and physical stress. “Our sensory experiences have a direct impact on our emotional state. Intentionally changing the colors, scents, and even shapes we see around us can create subtle, subtle effects that impact our daily mood.” But it can be a powerful method,” says clinical psychologist Dr Lucy Morrish of The Mind Room. Everything from colorful sex toys, boldly pigmented cheek and lip tints, to sensory home fragrances are within the realm of self-expression and pleasure for pleasure-seekers.
