The Louisiana Automobile Dealers Association has moved its headquarters from Picardy Avenue to downtown Baton Rouge, the group announced Wednesday.
The Automobile Dealer Trade Group is currently located at 660 Laurel Street, a few blocks from the state Capitol. LADA leases space from the HomeBuilders Self Insurers Fund, a homebuilder cooperative partner association in downtown Baton Rouge.
“This premier office location in the heart of downtown Baton Rouge will provide greater access to movers and shakers across the state, which will benefit Louisiana, our businesses and our communities. This is essential to LADA as we continue our efforts to create opportunities for the public,” Christie Evert, LADA board chair and dealer and operator of Arceneaux Ford of New Iberia, said in a statement. “We are excited to welcome members of Congress, dealers and business partners in this new space.”
Founded in 1937, LADA represents approximately 350 automobile and heavy truck dealers in Louisiana. The group is searching for a new president and CEO after Will Green agreed to take the top post at the Louisiana Chamber of Commerce.
“This move marks an exciting time and a new era for LADA. We are committed to serving our growing membership and further elevating our industry as a major economic driver for our state. We are looking for the next leader to take over,” Hebert said.
