“Macbeth”
Mountain View High School will present “The Tragedy of Macbeth” at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Nov. 9 and 10, and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, in the school’s Sue E. Wall Auditorium, 3500 Mountain Lion Drive.
This show is rated PG-13 for simulated violence, alcohol and tobacco use, and suggestive themes.

Lyric Cinema (1209 N. College Ave.) will screen “What I Want You to Know,” a documentary about the origins and consequences of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, on Thursday, Nov. 9, at 6:30 p.m.
The film depicts veterans sharing personal stories of their deployments and asking, “What was this all for?” And how can we prevent it from happening again? ” This was followed by his 45-minute Q&A with two local veterans who shared their views on these wars.
Panelists include co-executive producer Travis Weiner, an Iraq veteran and current Weld County senior deputy public defender, and Ben Schrader, an Iraq veteran and faculty member at Colorado State University.

Thousands of holiday lights will illuminate historic downtown Fort Collins during the annual Downtown Holiday Lighting Ceremony on Friday, Nov. 3 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in Old Town Square.
The countdown begins at 6:30 p.m. and ends with the entire downtown area lit up.
The event is free.
The display brings light to 22 blocks of downtown, not only along College Avenue from LaPorte Avenue to Magnolia Street, but also everywhere along Walnut Street, Linden Street, Pine Street, Old Town Square, Oak Street Plaza and Mountain Avenue. You can enjoy it.

The Sustainable Living Association will host a wine and cheese pairing at OBC Wine Project (824 E. Lincoln) on Tuesday, Nov. 7 from 6 to 8 p.m.

“Rockin’ Nutcracker”
Le Buone Azioni Productions will present “Rockin’ Nutcracker” at the Union Colony Civic Center, 701 10th Avenue, on Sunday, Nov. 5 at 2 p.m.
A new twist on the classic story of the Nutcracker, the robot Nutcracker turns into a “king” Elvis instead of a prince, classical music turns into classic rock ‘n’ roll from Queen to Springsteen, and more. Santana to Steppenwolf.
The show will be repeated at Loveland’s Rialto Theater Center on Sunday, Nov. 19, at 2 p.m.
Thirty percent of the show’s proceeds will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer and Weld Counties.
