“Traditional programs are not serving their purpose of furthering our intended goal of providing people with faster, better and more efficient social housing plans,” she added.
“In 2015, the Ministry began introducing new programs to speed up the process, and last year introduced more creative and innovative schemes to accommodate more families and meet their housing needs. .”
The minister said the current program would also be improved.
“We have new mechanisms in place to give people more financing options and are currently working with eight local banks. We are also building partnerships with the private sector and have five residential We also plan to expand.

This follows a directive from His Royal Highness Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to allocate additional budget for financing solutions and alternative options for housing applicants. It is.
Ms. Al-Romaihi asserted at the time that the plan was in line with other public housing programs, Taseer and Mazaya, aimed at immediately realizing the people’s housing demands.
He noted that there is strong demand from the public to take advantage of new financing options.
This housing plan offers three alternative solutions to the desire for older housing pre-2004.
The first option involves the allocation of a housing unit, subsidized by a loan of BD40,000 through the “Taseer” program, with continuation of the housing benefit for two years from the expiration date.
The second option is to provide the beneficiaries with residential apartments with a subsidy of BD3,000 and a two-year exemption from common area management fees.
The third option is to grant the beneficiary BD70,000, which is the maximum loan amount provided through Taseer, in addition to the BD10,000 subsidy.
According to the minister, the first and second options are available to citizens whose monthly income does not exceed BD900, and the third option is available to citizens whose monthly income is between BD900 and BD1,500.
