The 17-year-old student government president and scholarship candidate was captured on video dancing at Walker High School’s post-homecoming off-campus party on Sept. 30. A hired DJ shot the video and posted it on social media. Three days later, Jason St. Pierre, principal of a public high school near the state capital, Baton Rouge, told the student council president that he was removing him from his position. He also said he would no longer recommend her for college scholarships. Following the backlash, St-Pierre reversed course and apologized in a statement released Sunday.
