The Automotive and Road Safety Initiative will be hosting the next edition of the Nigeria Automotive Industry Awards to recognize the creativity of key players in the Nigerian automobile industry and recognize outstanding companies.
Chairman of the Motor Vehicle and Road Safety Initiative, Samuel Oliowo, said the non-governmental organization will host the awards on November 27 at the Sheraton Hotel in Lagos.
Mr Oliowo added that the categories of the award had been expanded and several sectors of the industry were considered deserving of the honour.
“The president also made it clear that car battery manufacturers will not be recognized at this event,” he hinted.
He explained that the awards are meant to continuously encourage excellence and celebrate the country’s best stakeholders, their products and services.
Oliowo said, “What stakeholders in the Nigerian automotive sector and their brands/services are not being noted to be properly recognized during the awards ceremony should be critically examined by Nigerian automotive enthusiasts.” “It is,” he clarified.
“Regardless of the ability of management. The NGO Technical/Selection Committee has worked diligently and thoroughly on its task of technically judging the stakeholders, their products and services deserving of the 2023 Award. ” he said.
