Strengthening military cooperation between Bahrain and Pakistan: Pakistan Army Commander awarded Bahrain First Class Medal
His Majesty King Hamad, Supreme Commander of the Royal Bahrain Armed Forces, praised the increasingly strong friendship and cooperation between Bahrain and Pakistan. The King’s comments were made during a meeting with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir at Safriya Palace.
Strengthening relationships through defense cooperation
The meeting emphasized Pakistan’s essential role in maintaining regional security and stability, a fact strongly recognized by King Hamad. The King also expressed Bahrain’s keenness to expand cooperation with Pakistan, with particular emphasis on the defense and military sectors. In recognition of General Munir’s important role in fostering this relationship, King Hamad awarded General Munir the Order of Bahrain First Class. This prestigious honor recognizes General Munir’s contribution to strengthening military and defense cooperation between Bahrain and Pakistan.

General Munir is currently visiting Bahrain to participate in the closing ceremony of a counter-terrorism exercise conducted by the Bahrain National Guard Special Operations Forces. A souvenir symbolizing the strong ties and continued cooperation between the two countries was presented to King Hamad by General Sheikh Mohammed. This exercise and the participation of Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff underscores the two countries’ shared commitment to the global fight against terrorism.
