Bahrain, December 14th: As part of its 20th anniversary celebrations, Bahrain Birawah will hold its first ever cricket tournament for women from communities across the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. Bahrain Birawah has already prepared a blueprint to celebrate this occasion in a meaningful way. The cricket tournament will be held on December 15 at 7:30 am at the Gulf Air Club outdoor stadium in Salmabad here.
In addition to the host country Bahrain, the tournament will also include Birawa teams from Oman, Qatar, Kuwait and Dubai. In addition to the players, more than 100 people from Gulf countries are expected to arrive on the island to take part in the tournament. A limited over softball tournament will be held during the league stage. Preparations for the tournament are progressing steadily. The player auction process, trophy presentation ceremony and uniform reveal have been completed.
A rich cultural program will be held at the tournament’s closing celebration starting at 5:30 p.m. Celebrities from around the island will also participate, and the winners will receive prizes. More than 75 dancers will perform on the playground. There will be activities such as playing with fire and dragon dancing. The island’s popular theater group Nagpur will also perform.
