The International Swing section of the DP World Tour season continues with a new event, the Bahrain Championship, at the Royal Golf Club, marking the first time in 13 years that the circuit has visited the country.
The $2.5 million amount is the same amount as the previous two tournaments, the 2024 Dubai Invitational and last week’s Ras Al Khaimah Championship. The winner gets his $425,000 and the runner-up gets his $275,000.
Similar to last week’s tournament, more than $100,000 in prize money is up for grabs for players who finish in the top five, and at least $50,000 is up for grabs for players who finish in the top 10.
While these numbers are significant, the prize money for this tournament is significantly lower than this week’s two other big men’s tournaments. His Pro-Am prize money at Pebble Beach on the PGA Tour is his $20 million, and the winner will claim more than the Bahrain Championship prize money total of $3.6 million. In Mexico, the LIV Golf Mayakoba prize is even bigger, at $25 million, with the winner taking home his $4 million.
Bahrain has 3,000 Race to Dubai points, with players competing for a $200,000 bonus awarded at the end of the March International Swing.
