Yesterday, Bahrain defeated Bhutan 2-1 in the final match of the 2023 Davis Cup Asia/Oceania Group V Qualifier.
Meanwhile, Qatar, Mongolia and Laos will join Myanmar in the play-off round and will play today for promotion to Group IV of next year’s Davis Cup competition.
Qatar advanced from Pool B, Mongolia from Pool C and Laos from Pool D.
After yesterday’s qualifying round, everyone secured a spot, but Myanmar had already made it through Pool A and earned a spot.
In today’s playoffs, Qatar will face Mongolia and Laos will face Myanmar.
Davis Cup zonal events are currently being held in Saudi Arabia, with matches being played on the Bahrain Tennis Federation (BTF) hard courts in Isa Town.

They beat Brunei 2-1 yesterday and completed their record with 3-0 wins over Tajikistan and Macau.
The competition will feature 13 men’s national teams from all over the continent. Today is the last day of play.
The two playoff winners will advance to Group IV for next year’s Davis Cup competition.
