Bahrain Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa harshly condemned the October 7 airstrike and subsequent Israeli retaliation. According to the official website of the Crown Prince of Bahrain, the Crown Prince stressed the urgent need for a cessation of hostilities and stressed that the release of prisoners of war is a precondition.
According to an ANI report, Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in his speech at the 19th Manama Dialogue, listed the essential requirements needed to end the cycle of bloodshed. He stressed the critical importance of freeing innocent people and non-combatants in order for Gaza residents to receive humanitarian relief, and the importance of fully enforcing international law. According to him, a two-state solution that respects Palestinian rights is the only way to bring about a sustainable sense of peace.
As the Crown Prince pointed out, the United States in particular has an important role to play in this process. While he opposed forced displacement and the reoccupation of Gaza, he made clear what was expected of Bahrain. According to the ANI report, he said Gaza must not be reduced in size and its residents must not be targeted for terrorist attacks from Gaza, drawing a “red line that must not be crossed”.
According to the report, the prime minister reiterated the importance of holding elections after the fighting to establish a strong and united Palestinian government. He stressed that this leadership must put an end to the bloodshed and focus on creating a Palestinian state that can function independently and provide security for both Israelis and Palestinians. Diplomacy and respect for international law were emphasized as the main means of resolving conflicts.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said a surface-to-air missile fired from Lebanon at a remotely piloted military aircraft was successfully intercepted. The intercept set off air raid sirens in northern Israel. The Israel Defense Forces said no incursions into Israeli territory were detected and that the interception was the sole cause of the alert.
Earlier, Israel responded to frequent rocket and missile attacks in the northern region with bombing raids by fighter jets and combat helicopters targeting Hezbollah strongholds in southern Lebanon. Terrorist organizations’ command centers and observation posts were also targeted by the Israel Defense Forces. Despite missiles being fired from Lebanon toward Mount Dob, there were no reports of injuries. The Israel Defense Forces counterattacked by using artillery to bombard the source of the attack.
Additionally, the Israel Defense Forces said weapons including RPGs and mortar shells were found at an elementary school and kindergarten in northern Gaza. The Israel Defense Forces said in a statement that “RPGs, mortar shells, and other weapons were discovered inside a kindergarten and elementary school in northern Gaza.” Toys, not murder weapons, should be kept in kindergartens. ”
