Bahrain, November 30th: Established under the leadership of Satish Shetty to cater to the needs of artists, Yakshadhruva Foundation has over 40 branches in the country and abroad through which it has successfully implemented several projects. Recently, the third anniversary of the establishment of the Bahrain unit was celebrated with great grandeur.
The election of new officeholders and president took place during a recent meeting in the presence of President Patra Satish Shetty. Karnire Magandadi Narendra Shetty, a Kannadiga social worker living in Saudi Arabia, has been elected unopposed as the new president of the Bahrain-Saudi unit.
Narendra Shetty is from Karnire Magandadi. He has lived in Saudi Arabia for over 30 years due to his work. He became well known in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain thanks to his social activities. He has held various positions in several organizations through which he is passionate about social work. He is a founding member of the Mangaluru Association of Saudi Arabia, where he has held various positions. The organization awarded him the ‘Masa Person of the Year’ award in 2021 in consideration of his contribution to society. Several organizations in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain also welcomed him. He is multi-talented and is into writing dramas, acting and Yakshagana. He is a good orator and is active in the Toastmaster organization. He was the founding president of the Master Club of Silikannada Toast.
He has always extended a helping hand to those in need. He has supported Tulu and Kannada cultural activities held in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. He previously served as Vice-Chairman of the Bahrain-Saudi Division of the Yaksha Dhruva Foundation. Everyone is happy that he was elected president.
Patra Satish Shetty, who was present during the election process, conveyed his wishes to Narendra Shetty and other office-bearers. Outgoing President Rajesh B. Shetty presented a bouquet of flowers and congratulated him.
