Bahraini peace activist Fatema Al Harbi refuted claims of apartheid and racism in Israel in a video posted on the popular social media platform TikTok on Saturday.
“When I went to Israel, I didn’t just want to meet Jews. I also wanted to meet Muslims and Palestinians,” she said of her three visits to the country.
“They said they feel safe, have full rights and consider this country home,” she said with PragerU content creator Cameron Higbee He continued with a TikTok clip.
“I have rights I never dreamed of.”
He then asked about the overall sentiment of Arabs in Israel, to which she replied that it was overwhelmingly positive. She says, “I have Lebanese Christian colleagues living in Israel who say to me, ‘I have rights I never dreamed of.'”
Fatema Al Harbi is also a writer and Director of Gulf Affairs at Sharaka. Shalaka, which means partnership in Arabic, is an Israeli non-governmental organization founded by the leaders of Israel, Bahrain and the UAE in 2020 after the signing of the Abraham Accords.
The video said she also heard from many Muslims, Druze and Bedouins that Israel is “a place they call home, and some even say, ‘I’m a proud Israeli.'” It ends where he said.
