That’s what diners can expect at Ford’s Garage, the popular vintage car-themed restaurant chain that plans to open its first New York location on Long Island.
The company has applied to the Smithtown Zoning Board of Appeals to open a restaurant at Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove, a spokesperson told the Daily Voice.
Construction has not yet begun and no opening date has been announced.
Ford’s Garage opened its first store in 2012 in Fort Myers, Florida. The location is less than a mile from its namesake, Henry Ford’s winter home. Since then, we have grown to 25 locations across six states.
The company is an official licensee of Ford Motor Company and pays homage to the iconic automotive brand with its auto shop uniforms and hand-hammered copper bar tops.
Customers dine in a dining room inspired by a 1920s service station, decorated with classic Ford cars and memorabilia.
The menu features 12 specialty burgers, along with several soups, salads, and appetizers.
Guests can also choose from a variety of “comfort foods,” including buffalo charred chicken macaroni and cheese, beer-battered fish and chips, and barbecued pork ribs.
According to Yelp, the most popular burger is the Estate Burger, which is made with smoked Gouda cheese, sweet red onion marmalade, arugula, tomato, fried onion straws, and white truffle bacon aioli on a brioche bun.
“I love this place! Such a cute and smart vibe,” one Yelp user wrote after visiting the Fort Myers location. “The food was amazing. The Estate Burger is to die for!”
