CAA Women’s Basketball Weekly Awards – November 27th
Richmond, VA (November 27, 2023) – CAA announced weekly awards for women’s basketball after Week 3 of the 2023-24 season. Towson redshirt senior guard Kylie Kornegay-Lucas was named CAA Player of the Week, and Elon freshman guard Maraja Pass won CAA Newcomer of the Week.

Kornegay-Lucas was named Navy Classic MVP after leading Towson to a 2-0 weekend with 17.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.5 steals per game. Against Abilene Christian, the redshirt senior paced Towson with 15 points and nine rebounds, as well as a season-high six assists and five steals as the Tigers won 63-56. She then scored a season-high 19 points, grabbed a team-high nine rebounds, had two steals and one assist against Quinnipiac as TU defeated the Bobcats 75-65.
Rookie of the week
Malaha Pass, Elon
Freshman | G | Shelby, North Carolina / Winston-Salem Christian School
Pass averaged 8.0 points, 5.5 assists and 4.5 rebounds per game off the bench, helping Elon to a split in the Georgia Thanksgiving Tournament. Despite her narrow loss to Bradley (66-59), she opened the tournament with eight points, a season-best seven assists, and four rebounds. Phoenix bounced back with a 75-68 win over Georgia State on Thanksgiving, with Pass contributing eight points, five rebounds, four assists and one steal.
