Bahrain’s Future Generations Readiness Fund has selected CBRE as property manager and leasing consultant for its upcoming Future Generations Readiness Tower.
Scheduled to open later this year, the Future Generation Reserve Tower is already being touted as one of Bahrain’s most iconic buildings. Strategically located on the waterfront overlooking Bahrain Financial Port and Bahrain Bay, the 38-storey building will include approximately 63,000 square meters of space for offices, F&B and other modern facilities.
Notably, the Future Generation Reserve Tower is one of Bahrain’s most sustainable business buildings to date, becoming the first tower in the Kingdom to achieve LEED certification.
Key figures in CBRE and the Future Generations Provident Fund
CBRE has been appointed as exclusive property manager and rental consultant and will manage the property on behalf of the Future Generations Provident Fund.
“We are proud to work with the Future Generations Reserve Fund and the Bahrain Ministry of Finance and National Economy on the construction of the new Future Generations Reserve Tower. This property will become a new landmark in the Bahrain Bay and CBRE’s senior director and general manager of Bahrain, Richard Botham, said:
“ESG has become an essential consideration for companies when choosing office accommodation, so we are particularly pleased that this project has been registered for LEED certification. We are a leader in this market in Bahrain. We look forward to managing the property in accordance with international standards and best practices that reflect the aspirations of the project.”
According to media reports, interest in the tower is high, with international organizations and national champions considering office space.
For Bahrainis, the Future Generations Protection Tower has an architectural design that is very relatable. The tower’s facade takes inspiration from the Bahrain national flag or ‘Al Birak’, symbolizing Bahrain’s strong leadership and surrounding people towards the future.
The Future Generations Reserve Fund is a sovereign wealth fund established in 2006 with a mandate to strengthen long-term investment management in Bahrain. The fund is in line with the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, a country-wide strategy aimed at increasing the economic and social prosperity of Bahrainis.
