Bahrain City Center has won a gold award for its #Bealight Ramadan campaign at Retail Congress MENA 2023, the region’s largest retail and shopping center event.
This award was given to a shopping mall that has demonstrated its commitment to uplifting Bahraini communities through engaging campaigns.
Bahrainis and Saudi residents came together through the #Bealight initiative and raised over BD 10,000 for thousands of Bahraini orphans.
This initiative not only had a significant positive impact on the community, but also provided a platform for social organizations and the general public to actively contribute towards a noble cause.
The campaign, organized in collaboration with the Royal Humane Society, attracted more than 5,000 people from across the Kingdom to Bahrain city center to take part.
This provided an opportunity for local communities to contribute to the cause by lighting up the lights, with shopping malls donating donations on their behalf. A total of 5,000 lights were lit at the #Bealight installation in the mall to support orphans in Bahrain.
Duaij Al Rumaihi, Mall Director of City Center Bahrain, said: “We are delighted and honored to receive this prestigious Gold Award at the region’s landmark retail event for a cause that has always been close to our hearts.”
“As the Kingdom’s leading shopping, entertainment and lifestyle destination, we engage with our communities through community-led campaigns and are recognized for our role in shaping a better tomorrow for thousands of orphaned children across the Kingdom. I’m very proud of what happened.
“This award will definitely motivate us to create even more memorable and meaningful experiences at City Center Bahrain, the destination of choice for residents of the Kingdom of Bahrain.”
Held under the theme of the Year of Reinvestment, Retail Congress MENA 2023 celebrated the campaigns and innovative strategies shaping the region’s retail and shopping mall sector.
