Chief of Army Staff General Saeed Asim Munir met with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain and discussed matters of mutual interest.
According to ISPR, the army chief is on a two-day official visit to Bahrain.
During the visit, he also hosted Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Commander of the Bahrain Defense Forces Marshal Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, and Commander of the Bahrain National Guard Sheikh Mohammad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He also called on General Khalifa.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest were discussed, including military and security cooperation between the two countries.
The senior officials praised Pakistan’s military’s achievements in the fight against terrorism and its continued efforts towards peace and stability in the region.
The COAS was also the guest of honor at the 27th Bahrain National Guard Ceremony, where he was warmly welcomed and awarded the Honor Guard Medal. He witnessed demonstrations related to anti-terrorism training.
The Commander of the Bahrain National Guard expressed his gratitude to the Pakistan Army for providing highly specialized training to the Bahrain National Guard in the field of military and counter-terrorism.
The King of Bahrain also awarded COAS the Bahrain Military Medal 1st Class in recognition of his great efforts and contributions towards strengthening bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries. ”
