Baton Rouge – Louisiana Automobile Dealers Association announced the appointment of Coulter McMahen as its new president and chief executive officer. Mr. McMahen joins LADA from the law firm Taylor Porter. His selection followed an executive search conducted by LADA President Christy McMath Hebert and the organization’s Board of Directors.
Founded in 1937, the Louisiana Automobile Dealers Association is a trade association representing approximately 350 new car and heavy-duty truck dealers in Louisiana. LADA also has over 150 affiliated associate members.
Mr. McMahen will lead LADA’s strategy and advocacy efforts and oversee the operations of the association and its subsidiaries, with a focus on defending the interests of Louisiana auto dealers.
“We are in an exciting time in Louisiana, marked by new leaders, legislators, and a new generation of auto dealers who are finding innovative ways to serve their communities.” Hebert said in a press release. “I think I speak for the entire board when I say we are excited to have Mr. Coulter join our team and bring his fresh perspective to our work. ”
“LADA represents so much of what is great about Louisiana,” McMahen said. “Our dealerships are essential to driving the Louisiana economy as taxpayers, business owners, employers and service providers. I’m excited to be working with such a talented staff.”
