(Juneau) Property tax payments are due by the end of next month (January).
Dodge County Treasurer Chris Keith is reminding taxpayers that the first installment is due Jan. 31 to be paid to the local treasurer’s office and not to the county.
Keith said this means they won’t be able to use the county’s online payment system for the first installment. Instead, you should check with your local financial representative to see if they offer online payment options.
If you miss the January 31st deadline for the first installment, the entire outstanding balance will become overdue and will be subject to interest and penalties of 1.5% per month retroactive to February 1st until paid in full.
If you haven’t received your tax bill, Keith recommends contacting your local municipality. She said she can also print a bill from the county’s website. A link to this news article can be found at DailyDodge.com.
The second installment of property taxes is due to the Dodge County Treasurer by July 31st.
