The competitive event entry fees and low FIA EHRC Championship registration fees (for drivers and co-drivers) will remain in place in 2024, making the series accessible to all competitors of all budget levels.
John Naylor, Chairman of the FIA Historical Motorsport Commission, said:
“With these new incentives, the 2024 series will be even more competitive. The FIA has refined the championship to provide fair competition at all times in a safe and enjoyable environment.” It offers remote services and has a “nostalgic” feel for competitors, celebrating the rally’s past. The new titles add further interest to the series and are based on the ethos of “something for everyone,” regardless of budget. The popular format of a 1.5-day event with around 140km of stages will continue in 2024, offering competitors a compact series of rallies that also incorporate strong social elements. As predicted by the EHRC, there are some great stages, great events and historic rally locations to visit in 2024. With just under 60 contestants registered in 2023, we hope to take advantage of these new incentives to bring more newcomers to the series. Feedback from existing competitors for 2023 shows it is a great championship to be involved in, with new competitors warmly welcomed by a very supportive FIA team at every event. ”
The nine-race calendar will change for 2024, with Italy’s popular Elba Rally Storico returning to the championship after a short break. The 2024 calendar has been further improved with increased time between events compared to 2023, allowing competitors more time to travel to and from events to fit around work and family commitments. .
