Week 4 of the 2023/2024 Zain Bahrain Basketball League has begun with Al Etihad defeating Samahei 112-85 last night. The Etihad took a 35-19 advantage at the end of the first quarter and cruised the rest of the way.
They led by as many as 35 points and took full advantage of their size and talent against an opponent lacking foreign pros.
Nick Faust had 24 points and 13 rebounds in just 22 minutes, and Hassan Fahad and Hussein Mohamed each added 18 points. Mohammed led the mob off the bench, contributing 53 points in the contest.
For Samahij, Salman Al-Kaabi scored 17 points, while Ahmed Fatih and Mohamed Abdullah Jafar each scored 15 points.
As a result, Etihad got their second win and increased their points to six points from four games, while Samahij lost their fourth win and now have four points. League play continues tonight and tomorrow.
This evening, Nuweidrat will take on Al Hara at 5:30pm, followed by a huge clash between perennial title contenders Muharraq and Al Ahly at 7:30pm.
Tomorrow evening, Al Najma will play against Isa Town at 5.30pm.
