This week, Eugene City Council members heard Eugene’s annual report on sustainability and human rights and voted on a proposal that would remove the requirement that Eugene developers provide parking and pay for it under new state regulations. We plan to discuss the “Bond” proposal. Emerald Stadium at the Lane County Fairgrounds, the pickleball facility at Lane Community College, and the sports complex at Golden Gardens Park.
Springfield City Council members will hear applications from residents to serve on the advisory committee, as well as a presentation from Obie Companies regarding the developer’s plans for downtown Springfield.
The Department of Environmental Quality and the Environmental Protection Agency are expected to release updates on the J.H. Baxter cleanup and steps at the former wood processing plant, which will likely become an EPA Superfund site.
