Frank L. Patterson, 82, of Westchester, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023, near Richland, Iowa, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. His body will be cremated and a funeral and memorial service will be held at a later date. A memorial fund has been established for the members of the Kaaba. Beatty-Petersheim Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Frank Lee Patterson was born July 21, 1941 in Albia, Iowa, the son of William Turner and Ina Bell (Buffington) Patterson. He graduated from Oskaloosa High School and attended Kansas City Trade School. On September 5, 1965, he married Marcia Blegen in Oskaloosa. Frank worked at Iowa Bridges and Culverts from his 1964 to his 1998, ending his career as a superintendent in that position. He was a member of Westchester Community Church, Masonic Lodge, and Karva Shriners. Frank enjoyed watching NASCAR, admiring woodworking and race cars, spending time with his grandchildren, and attending parades with the Kaaba people.
Survivors include his wife Marcia of Westchester, three children: Melissa (Matt) Dowd of Westchester, Mark Patterson (Patches Breed) of Wilton, and Michael (Nicole) Patterson of Westchester; three grandchildren: Darian, Chasley and Delaney Patterson; two great-grandchildren: Carter Patterson and Delan Patterson; one brother, Claire (Pat) Patterson of Des Moines; sister-in-law Judy (Allen) Beeman of Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws Roscoe and Janetta Blegen;
