Average gas prices in New York fell 3.8 cents per gallon last week, to an average of $3.82 per gram on Monday, according to a GasBuddy survey of 6,118 New York gas stations.
In Olean, 87-octane prices fell from $3.959 per gallon to less than $3.90 per gram as of Monday night.
Prices in New York are down 2.3 cents per gallon from a month ago and up 24.1 cents per gallon from a year ago. The national average price of diesel fell 4.0 cents last week to $4.48 per gallon.
According to GasBuddy’s price report, the lowest price in the state earlier this week was $2.97/g and the highest price was $4.99/g, a difference of $2.02/g.
The national average price of gasoline fell 10.2 cents per gallon last week, to an average price of $3.67 per gram on Monday. The national average is down 13.8 cents per gallon compared to a month ago and 25.0 cents per gallon compared to a year ago, according to GasBuddy data.
