Geely Auto aims to increase sales by 13% in 2024
Chinese car giant Geely Automobile Holding Co., Ltd.announced ambitious sales targets for 2024. The company aims to sell his 1.9 million vehicles from 2023, which would be a staggering increase of 13%. This projected figure includes Geely’s sales of his LYNK & CO brand vehicles.
Geely Automobile’s growth trajectory
The announced targets build on the automaker’s success in 2023. Last year, Geely Automobile achieved sales of 1,686,516 units, an 18% increase from 2022 performance. The company’s success continued throughout the year, with unit sales in December alone increasing 3% compared to the same month last year.
Expand sales of new energy vehicles
In addition to its overall sales goals, Geely Auto has expressed big ambitions to expand sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs). The company has set a goal of increasing NEV sales by more than 66% from total sales in 2023. However, the exact target value for NEV has not yet been disclosed.
Future impact
The announcement, made in a filing to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, lends a sense of optimism to Geely Automobile’s future. The company’s ambitious targets suggest a confident outlook for both traditional car sales and the developing NEV sector. If successful, Geely Auto’s 2024 performance could mark a major milestone in the company’s growth and contribute significantly to the global transition to sustainable transportation.
