Max subscribers won’t have to pay an extra $10 to watch live March Madness games on the B/R Sports level, as Warner Bros. Discovery is deferring billing customers for the add-on option. On Friday, the media giant shared that it is working on several technical upgrades to its app so fans can continue to enjoy live sports for free through the spring.
Max introduced live sports programming through the new addition of Bleacher Report (B/R) Sports this October, giving viewers access to MLB, U.S. Soccer, NHL, NBA, and more. During the rollout, Warner Bros. Discovery announced that the streaming service’s add-on will be available to all subscribers at no additional charge until February 29th. After that date, a $10 monthly fee will be added to your service fee. Monthly subscriptions cost $10, $16, or $20 depending on your plan.
“The B/R Sports Add-On will continue to be available to our Max subscribers over the coming months as we finalize several technology integrations that will ensure a more seamless customer experience with our platform partners. ” said an email statement from Max. Said.
Sports fans can stream live coverage from TNT, TBS, and TruTV, as well as original programming, TV shows, on-demand content, and documentaries. With NCAA, NBA and NHL season games running through April, he now has one more way for viewers to watch the latest games without cable. Max has gradually started adopting a live streaming model to stand out in this space, offering his B/R sports and live news through his 24/7 feed on CNN Max.
