In a girls basketball game Friday night in Gorham, Gorham went on a 28-3 run to pull away from Masabesic and Zoe Dellinger scored 11 of her 19 points in the second quarter for a 68-27 victory.
Dellinger made five of Gorham’s 11 3-pointers. Ellie Gay and Brooklyn Spearin each had 10 points for Gorham (5-2), which led 44-12 at halftime.
Lydia Desroches scored nine points and Maddie Van Brocklin scored eight points for Masabesic (2-6).
• Madeline Hill scored 18 points and Rhianna Hartwell added 14 points to lead Valley (8-0) to an 82-21 win over Wiscasset (0-6) at Bingham.
Michelle Fallin led Wiscasset with seven points.
Boys basketball: Mansk Loboka’s only basket of the game with eight seconds left gave North Yarmouth Academy (3-4) a 48-47 victory over Poland (0-5).
For NYA, Nate Oney had 26 points and Brayden Kloza added 13 points.
Damon Martin and Anthony Warren each scored 13 points for Poland.

G League: At the Portland Expos, Ryan Rollins scored 10 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter to help the Capital City Go-Go hold off the Maine Celtics for a 119-113 victory.
JD Davison had 27 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds for Maine. Drew Peterson scored 18 points, and Jordan Shekel and Brandon Slater each added 17 points.

ECHL: Tristan Ashbrook scored twice in the first period and then assisted on Topias Viren’s two goals, leading the Adirondack Thunder to a 5-2 victory over the Maine Mariners in Glens Falls, New York.
Alex Kyle scored his 15th and 16th goals of the season for the Mariners.
World Junior: Isaac Howard scored twice in the second period and the United States defeated host Sweden 6-2 to win the gold medal at the World Junior Hockey Championship.
Gabe Perreault had one goal and two assists, and Jeev Bouium, Ryan Leonard and Rutger McGroarty also scored. Trey Augustin scored the winning goal and the United States won the U-20 tournament for the sixth time.
The Czech Republic came back from a 5-2 deficit with six goals scored and no points, surprising Finland 8-5 and winning the bronze medal.

Auckland Classic: US Open champion Coco Gauff advanced to the semi-finals in New Zealand with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over France’s Barbara Gracheva.
Gauff will face fellow American Emma Navarro in the semifinals. Fourth seed Navarro defeated France’s Petra Martic 6-4, 4-3.
Davis Cup: Due to the ongoing civil war in Ukraine, Ukraine’s Davis Cup qualifier against the United States will be held in Lithuania on February 1st and 2nd.
USA captain Bob Bryan announced that the roster includes Taylor Fritz, Sebastian Korda, Christopher Eubanks, Austin Krajicek and Rajeev Ram.
United Cup: Alexander Zverev defeated Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas in the singles and also won the mixed doubles match, leading Germany to the semi-finals against hosts Australia.
France will play Poland in the other semi-final on Saturday.

England: Tottenham and Fulham progressed to the fourth round of the FA Cup, but fellow Premier League side Brentford and Wolves drew 1-1, necessitating a rematch.
Spurs beat Burnley 1-0 with a second-half goal from Pedro Polo, while Fulham beat Rotherham 1-0 with a first-half goal from Bobby de Cordoba-Reid. In London, Wolves played almost the entire game with 10 men, but came from behind to earn a rematch against Brentford.
US men: Defenders Myles Robinson, Shaq Moore and James Sands were the only veterans selected for U.S. training camp ahead of an exhibition against Slovenia on Jan. 20. The group is part of a Major League Soccer group that features 17 players who could potentially make their national team debuts.

Pistorius releases: Oscar Pistorius, the double amputee Olympic sprinter who became a world star competing at the sport’s highest level while running on carbon fiber blades, has married his girlfriend, model Reeva Steenkamp. He was released Friday after serving nearly nine years in prison for the murder.
Pistorius will live under strict parole conditions, including a ban on speaking to the media, until his sentence expires in December 2029.
