Despite retaining his position as the San Francisco 49ers’ starting quarterback, Brock Purdy maintains a living situation that may surprise some. In a recent interview with TODAY, Purdy admitted that he continues to share rent with his roommate.
“So, I still have a roommate, one of the offensive linemen here,” Purdy revealed during an appearance on the Today Show. He added, “So he and I still split the rent 50/50. I still drive a Toyota Sequoia, but other than that it’s pretty simple.”
You can see what Brock Purdy said in @TODAYshow – His roommate is #49ers offensive lineman Nick Zacherzi; Alfredo Gutierrez also lived with them during the 2022 season.

Purdy will make $870,000 this season, but living in the Bay Area is notoriously expensive. While his quarterback definitely has the luxury of securing his spot, Purdy’s financial prudence is evident both on and off the football field.
It’s pretty wild: #49ers QB Brock Purdy said that despite being a starting QB in the NFL, he still lives in San Francisco, splits the rent with a roommate, and drives a Toyota Sequoia.

The deal is expected to last until Purdy secures a new contract, which is expected to occur within about two years. Until then, Purdy and Zakerji will continue to split living expenses.
