boys and girls cross country
Results from the Palomares League finals played Nov. 3 at Ruben Ayala High School: The Wolfpack varsity girls team took first place with just 18 points, and the varsity boys team took third place with 65 points.
CIF-Southern Section Division 2 qualifying results held Nov. 10 at Mount San Antonio College: The varsity women’s team earned 27 points in the qualifying heats and placed first overall. The national men’s team took second place in the qualifying heats with a total of 90 points.
Results from the Division 2 CIF Southern Section Tournament held at Mount SAC: The varsity girls placed second overall with 94 points and will head to Woodward Park in Fresno for the CIF State Tournament on Saturday, November 25th. The male representative finished 12th. At 268.

Women’s Tennis (12-3)
Results from the California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section individual and doubles tournaments held Monday and Tuesday at Marina High School will be reported in the next sports roundup.
Women’s Golf (8-1)
Results from the CIF Southern Section Individual Finals held Nov. 2 at Morongo Golf Club in Tukwet Canyon: Junior Christina Hsu shot a 5-over par 77 to advance to the Southern California Individual Women’s Golf Finals. Junior Riley Wang missed the cut by two strokes with an 81. The state qualifier was held on November 9th at Los Theranos Country Club, but Christina was unable to compete due to illness.
Youth soccer (0-0)
The boys team will open the season after press time Wednesday with a trip to Los Osos High School in Rancho Cucamonga and return to action on Tuesday, Nov. 28 at Chaffey High School at 5 p.m. The Pack will host Don Lugo on Friday, Dec. 1 at 5:30 p.m.
Women’s soccer (0-0)
The girls team will have two scrimmages against Diamond Ranch on Nov. 13 and Chaffee on Nov. 16 before the first game of the Riverside Poly High School Tournament against La Quinta on Monday, Dec. 4 at 4:45 p.m. was held.
Men’s Basketball (0-1)
Claremont opened the season with a 53-35 loss to Yucaipa on Nov. 15.
The boys will next head to Northview for the tournament, with the first test being against South Hills on Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 6:30 p.m., and Chaffey the following day at 8 p.m.
Women’s basketball (1-0)
The team opened the season Tuesday against South Torrance in the Downey High School tournament with a 44-29 win. The results of Wednesday’s game will be published in the next Sports Roundup.
Looking ahead, the team will host Corona del Mar on Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 6:30 p.m., followed by a home game against Walnut on Thursday, Nov. 30 at 6 p.m.
Women’s water polo (0-0)
The Pack began the season on Nov. 13 with a scrimmage at Troy High School in Fullerton.
The team will return to the water to take on Chino on Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 4:45 p.m., then take on Los Altos on Thursday, Dec. 7 at 3:30 p.m.
boys and girls wrestling
The boys team begins its season at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at Los Osos High School in Rancho Cucamonga. The women’s schedule has not yet been announced.

football (7-2)
Webb, a 4-1 Manzanita League runner-up, lost 30-27 in the first round of the CIF-Southern Section Division 14 playoffs on Friday, Nov. 3 at Mid-City League bid venue Lynnwood. Ta. Bell Gardens will play for the CIF-SS D14 title when it hosts Linwood on Friday at 7 p.m.

CIF Southern Section Division 5 qualifying results held Nov. 11 at Mount San Antonio College: In the third heat, the San Joaquin League runner-up varsity men’s team placed sixth overall with 165 points. The girls team, which finished fourth in the San Joaquin League, placed 10th in the first heat with 232 points. Sophomore Nicole Samson won with a time of 18:55.2 and qualified for the CIF Southern Section Division 5 finals.

boys soccer (1-1-0)
The team started the season with a 2-0 loss at home to Edgewood, but quickly bounced back with a 2-0 win at Palmdale Academy on November 16.
After the Thanksgiving break, Webb will head to John Muir for a game on Thursday, Nov. 30 at 3:45 p.m., then return home to take on Rowland on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 11 a.m. Pomona High School heads to Faculty Field on Tuesday, December at 3:15 p.m. Five.
women’s soccer (0-0-1)
The Gauls started the season on Nov. 16 with a 1-1 tie at home against Cerritos High School.
The team returns from vacation next week and will play against Pomona on Tuesday, November 28th and against Covina on Friday, December 1st.Both home games are scheduled for 3:15 p.m.
boy basketball (0-2)
The Gauls lost 63-41 to El Rancho on Nov. 14 and lost 77-54 at home to United Christian Academy on Nov. 16.
Webb will attend Education First Academy on Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 7 p.m., then open the tournament against the Sherman Indians on Thursday, Nov. 30 at 6 p.m.
women’s basketball (0-2)
The team started the season with a 51-22 loss to Pasadena Polytechnic School on November 14th. Sierra Vista High School won by Nov. 16 and lost again, 57-32.
The Gauls are at Calvary Chapel Downey for a post-Thanksgiving holiday tournament. Artesia will be the first test for the Gauls on Monday, November 27th at 4:30 p.m. St. Joseph will follow on Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 4:30 p.m., followed by a final run against Bethel Baptist on Thursday, Nov. 30 at 7:30 p.m.
women’s water polo (1-1)
The Gauls opened the season on Nov. 14 at home with a close 20-19 victory over Santa Ana Valley. Visiting Mayfield then defeated Webb 8-7 on November 16.
Don Lugo will play by Tuesday, November 28th. Lakeside will play a similar game on Thursday, Nov. 30. Girl High School will then visit on Tuesday, December 5th. All three games will be played at 3:30 p.m.

The Gauls open the season by hosting two games against Covina and Calvary-Chapel Downey on Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 5 p.m. The Coasarec Tournament will then begin on Friday, Dec. 1 at Westminster High School.
