The Kingdom of Bahrain and Hungary confirmed the importance of developing cooperation frameworks and benefiting from the expertise and investment opportunities of both countries.
This took place yesterday when His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa met with the President of the Republic of Hungary, Katalin Novak, on the sidelines of the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Hosted by UAE.
His Majesty the King reflected on the close bilateral relationship with the Hungarian President and discussed cooperation in various important areas, in particular economy, commerce, investment, education, development, environment and energy.
His Majesty praised Hungary’s many successes and achievements in all fields, especially in the field of sustainable development.

President Novak expressed his gratitude to the King for his dedication to strengthening bilateral relations. She also praised His Majesty’s pioneering global humanitarian efforts aimed at promoting human values of coexistence, tolerance, cooperation and dialogue between different cultures.
The Hungarian leader also expressed interest in further developing relations between the two countries. During the meeting, the two sides discussed the COP 28 agenda, as well as exchanging views on regional and international developments and common interests.

King Hamad and President Novak expressed their appreciation for the UAE’s efforts in hosting and supporting the success of this important global conference.
Leaders called for strengthening international cooperation to find effective and sustainable solutions to common global challenges, in particular climate action, sustainable development and economic prosperity to build a better future for all humanity. He emphasized the importance of accelerating efforts towards this goal.
