This weekend, there are plenty of events happening in the area to get you in the holiday spirit. From Silver Creek to Cassadaga, events are planned to celebrate the arrival of the upcoming Christmas.
Events include:
– Miracle on Fredonia’s Main Street. It begins at 10 a.m. and includes a full agenda. Activities will take place at Fredonia Memorial American Legion Post 59, Fredonia First Methodist Church, Fredonia Family Church, Next Chapter Bookstore, 1891 Fredonia Opera House Performing Arts Center, Darwin R. Barker Library, and Fredonia Grange No. 1 . There’s a story. Time with Santa for kids at Barker Library and story time with Mrs. Claus at Next Chapter Bookstore (12 Park Place). Furthermore, at the free screening, “Polar Express” It will be held at the Fredonia Opera House at 4 p.m.
– Light Up Cassadaga begins at 3:30 p.m. Santa Claus arrives in a fire truck and listens to children’s requests until 5 p.m. The Cassadaga Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary will provide free hot chocolate. There’s a fire pit to keep warm, and it’s also a short walk to the Cassadaga Library, where kids can pick out free books, do activities, and have snacks until 6 p.m.
– Annual Christmas in the Park celebration. Organized by the Kiwanis Club, it will be held at Village Square in Silver Creek from noon to 3 p.m.
