Key updates for Thursday, November 23rd include:
Sat-Chi sails in China Masters
There was early good news from badminton with Satwiksairaj Rankirdi and Chirag Shetty advancing in the China Masters Super 750.
The No. 1 seed defeated Japan’s Akira Koga and Taichi Saito in the second round, 21-15, 21-16, advancing to the quarterfinals.
This is a good result for the Indians, who lost early in the recent French Open and Japan Masters. They reached the world No. 1 spot after the Asian Games and are the top seeds here, but two early losses and missing out on the Denmark Open have dropped them to No. 5 in the world. (Note: The drawing was done in advance, so the top seed remains)
