What’s planned for today?
There are two big matches in the ongoing China Masters Badminton Tournament.
Top seeds Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will face Indonesia’s Leo Rowley Karnando and Daniel Malusin in the quarter-finals. The Indian pair has been in good form after early exits at the recent French Open and Japan Masters.
Meanwhile, HS Prannoy, the only Indian singles player remaining in the tournament, will face Japan’s Kodai Naraoka for a place in the semi-finals. Naraoka leads the head-to-head match 4-1, but Prannoy won their most recent match in the quarterfinals of the Indonesia Open in June.
