Jude Bellingham and Levi Colwill have been left out of England’s squad for their Euro 2024 qualifiers against Malta and North Macedonia due to injury.
Real Madrid’s Bellingham and Chelsea defender Colwill continues to be away from his club after suffering a shoulder injury.
The pair reported to St George’s Park for tests but have now returned to the club for treatment, the FA confirmed.
Marcus Rashford and Kalvin Phillips are expected to join up with the squad later this week “due to personal circumstances”. The remaining members of the group attended an international mission on Monday.
Uncapped trio of Cole Palmer, Rico Ruiz and Ezri Konsa They were called up as additional players to the squad on Monday, but He came on as a substitute for James Maddison, Callum Wilson and Lewis Dunk as they were all absent due to injury.
Chelsea’s Palmer and Man City’s Luiz were promoted from the Under-21s, while Aston Villa defender Konsa, who won the Under-20 World Cup with England in 2017, received his first call-up to the first team.
England have already qualified for Euro 2024, but are still fighting for first place in Group C.
