Mobility solutions provider Jupiter Wagons on Friday announced that it has received a major contract for the manufacture and supply of four double-decker car carriers worth approximately Rs 100 crore.
These tallest double-decker car carriers can carry SUV versions in both the lower and upper berths and are equipped with many advanced technologies such as articulated trolleys and reduced idling time by replacing sick wagons. The company said in a statement.
Vivek Lohia, Managing Director of Jupiter Wagon, said: “We are honored to have been commissioned by one of the automotive industry’s leaders to build this technologically advanced and tallest double-decker car carrier wagon. It not only highlights our manufacturing capabilities, but also strengthens our resolve to contribute.” ”
The company said that such wagons will be introduced on Indian Railways for the first time, given their maximum travel dimensions that will not only fit in the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) but also fit most of the available domestic railway network. Ta.
