LaRue, who also works on information security systems and National Security Agency certification, is working with the Dolphins’ information technology department to integrate into the stadium’s current systems to increase efficiency and productivity. “A lot of my research culminated in meeting with different software companies and having meetings with them to consider what would be best for the stadium,” LaRue said. “Part of my job was working with Rolling Loud Miami. During her time as an intern, Ms. LaRue worked on a final group project with interns from other departments to create an event for the stadium’s new paddock club that would be a luxury experience for those interested in the Miami Grand Prix. Their teamwork and creative input led to a pitch for next summer’s eSports Stadium event.
“Our group determined that hosting a game event with existing Miami Dolphins sponsors would help bring together people of all ages, especially younger viewers. It brings fans closer together,” LaRue said.
LaRue said the sociology course helped her get along with other interns.
“My sociology degree helps me bridge the communication gap between all interns, especially in terms of listening to their preferences and investigating why they liked certain aspects of an event more than others. , and we were able to reach a win-win pitch,” she said.
After his internship at Hard Rock Stadium, LaRue applied for a position with Penn State football this semester. She landed a recruiting internship and currently welcomes new athletic recruits, provides on-field assistance, and charts her game-day communications.
“During my summer internship, I learned a lot about time management, networking, how to manage managers, and how to learn more from the opportunities given to me in my position,” LaRue said. “I hope to develop and reflect on these lessons and apply them to my work with Penn State football. I especially hope to leverage the football experience of others for the benefit of our team and fan base.” I am.”
LaRue is applying for a full-time position in the sports technology field.
