Friday October 6th 8:28pm
Rebecca Andrade (BRA) UB:
Friday October 6th 8:26pm
Ellie Black (CAN) UB: Shapes the hips. She chose “black”…and she failed. I go and cry. Hmm. Jaeger Pike is nice. Park. Shape 1/2. Lots of giants. The Moor dismounts. Too bad for her.
Friday October 6 @ 8:20pm
Flavia Saraiva (BRA) UB: Full toe to Tkachev Pike… misses and lands face down on the mat. No way. The rest of the routine is good.
Friday October 6th 8:16pm
Simone Biles (USA) UB: Shape from Wyler 1/2. Giant 1/1. She misses the connection and loses the giant. Pike Tkachev to Paku. Shape 1/2. Toe 1/1 connects into a double tuck full. Good job. 14.333.
Friday October 6th 8:15pm
Alexa Moreno (Mexico) VT: Handspring Rudy. Great in the air, but opens a little early and lands short. 13.966.
Friday October 6th 8:12pm
Shilese Jones (USA) UB: Stalder 1/1 to Tkachev straddle with Stalder shape. Toe 1/1 is connected to the pak from the Staldartkachev pike. Kipcast, shape 1/2. Double front again but ends with a great landing. 14.633!
Friday October 6th 8:07pm
Other notable routines:
- Qiu Qiyuan (CHN) UB: Beautiful pirouette sequence. A stunning Jaeger layout. Invar 1/1. Struda targets Tkachev. Park Salt. Van Leeuwen. Fully twisted double back. 14.700.
- Georgia Godwin (Australia) BB: Solid routine to save a wolf turn, but fell on the way down. 12.266.
- Alexa Moreno (Mexico) FX: Hidden double-double, a little low on the chest and a slight rebound when raising her feet. Double layout, small hop. With the double Arabian, it flies too much and I can’t turn it well, so I’m sitting. Double pike, come forward. 12.233.
- Kailia Nemur (ALG) UB: Inbal Nabiyeva (Nemur) → Pak Sarto → Maroney → Stalder 1/1 → Stalder Tkachev 1/2 → Ejoba → Van Leeuwen. Double layout from Inver 1/1. It’s insane, and the crowd agrees! 15.200, D score 6.9!
Friday October 6th @ 8pm
Fall from Melanie DJDS (France) at UB’s Nabieva.
Friday October 6th 7:56pm
Rebecca Andrade (BRA) VT: VT It’s time for the best Chen of all time (IMO). She lives by it. Incredible amplitude and textbook form. It almost sticks, but then it shuffles around a bit and then takes a step out. 14.700 (0.1 OOB)
Friday October 6th 7:54pm
Ellie Black (CAN) VT: Handspring Front Full – STUCKKK. mother. Great start for her!
Friday October 6th 7:52pm
Flavia Saraiva (BRA) VT: Made a good block on DTY. Some small forms cause trouble in the air and take a step back. 13.833.
Friday October 6th 7:49pm
Simone Biles (USA) VT: No YDP from her today. Select Chen (not surprising since VT finals are literally tomorrow). It is amazing. A small hop upon landing. It got better as the weeks went on. 15.100!!!
Friday October 6th 7:47pm
Siries Jones (USA) VT: Great DTY. Beautiful shapes floating in the air. There are no pike downs, only small off-hops are used. It brings good scores. 14.233.
Friday October 6th 7:44pm
Unfortunately, Georgia Godwin (AUS) fell while coming off the beam from the double pike.
Friday October 6th 7:42pm
Alice Kinsella (UK) VT: Start AA with DTY. It’s a little low so she steps back and lowers it. I’d like to know how much advance notice she had before stepping out from here. Her score is 13.766.
Friday October 6th 7:40pm
Eythora Thorsdottir (NED): Her beautifully performed routine. She has great elongation, good tumbling, and gorgeous dance elements. It’s a great start for her.
Friday October 6th 7:38pm
Today, Simone Biles will face Chen instead of YDP.
Friday October 6th 7:35pm
Major update…Jessica Gadirova (GBR) will not be competing today. British Gymnastics said this was a precautionary measure. Alice Kinsella (GBR) replaced her.
