LISBON, N.Y. (WWNY) – High school basketball was in full swing Saturday with numerous tournaments on both the boys and girls sides.
In Lisbon, the Golden Knights hosted Morristown in the Lisbon Tournament.
Lisbon’s Isaiah White passed to Cooper Rutherford for a long-range 3-pointer.
Connor Bell feeds the ball to Andrew Donaldson for a three-pointer. The Golden Knights led 6-3 in the first quarter.
After a few quick passes, Morristown’s Kameron Toland went inside and made a layup.
Terin Rosenbarker faked a pass and made a layup over Rutherford, cutting the lead to two points late in the first quarter.
Lisbon was pressing hard when Connor Flack missed a layup, but Bell returned it and scored.
Lisbon won the Darcy Tournament 67-47.
Another matchup at the Lisbon tournament pitted Hermon DeKalb against Norwood Norfolk.
Harmon DeKalb’s Nolan Carr sends a bounce pass to Hunter Boucher, who sinks the jump shot.
Caleb Murray fed the ball to Nolan Carr, who hit a jumper.
Bouchey passes over a hand pass to Michael Maurer, who tickles the twine: 35-15 Green Demons lead in the third.
Norwood Norfolk’s Matthew Richard received an inbounds pass and took a quick shot to start the fourth point.
Some quick passes allowed Taron Colbert to score for the Flyers.
Harmon DeKalb defeated Norwood Norfolk 53-21.
Turning to college hoops, the JCC Men hosted Herkimer Community College at the McBean Athletic Center.
In the first half, Jaylin Masonet tipped in on an error, giving the Cannoniers a four-point lead.
Domaire Williams then sank a 3 from the wing to bring the Cannoniers within one point.

Herkimer defeated JCC 81-73.
On the women’s side, the JCC Ladies, led by coach Jeff Wiley, also hosted Herkimer.
In the first quarter, Derrin Alcock made a pull-up in the paint and JCC moved into the front four.
Delaney Wylie then scored three goals from long distance to lift JCC into the top seven.
Rakaiya Butcher split defenders toward the basket and she was fouled.
JCC defeated Herkimer 80-42.
Turning to Matt, the General Brown Tournament was held in Dexter.
Camden won the team title, followed by General Brown in second, Beaver River in third, OFA in fourth, Watertown in fifth and Canton in sixth.
The best wrestlers from each team were General Brown’s Dylan Munk, Watertown’s Paul Ortega, OFA’s Connor Young, Beaver River’s Dylan Buckingham and Canton’s Graham Rosler.
In boys NAC hockey, the Thousand Islanders were at Massena.
Owen Bismarck found the back of the net to cut Massena’s lead to 2-1.
Massena’s JP Bouchard tried to escape, but TI goalkeeper Sean Cerbonneau stopped him.
On the next play, Massena’s Ryder Sunday took a shot from just above the blue line of the net for a 3-1 lead in the second period.
Massena’s Drew Smuts sneaks in, but Cerbonneau saves with his glove.
Bismarck made a short pass to Savage, who took a shot from the top of the point and cut into Massena with the Raiders leading 3-2 with three minutes to play.
Cole Stebren then hit a one-timer to tie the game at 3-3.
In overtime, Bismarck scored the winning goal.
TI defeated Massena 4-3 in overtime.
The great East rivalry flares up again in the nation’s capital as Syracuse takes on Georgetown.
Judah Mintz scored 25 points, J.J. Sterling had 21 points and Kudir Copeland added 14 points as Syracuse defeated Georgetown 80-68 to improve to 7-3 on the season.
The Oranges will be back in action next Sunday, traveling to Oregon State to take on the Ducks.
