The City of Margate has announced the launch of the Property Improvement Program (PIP), a new initiative aimed at increasing the city’s aesthetic appeal and property values. This program offers significant financial incentives for property upgrades, with a focus on exterior and structural improvements.
Under PIP, commercial, multifamily, and residential property owners are eligible for a 50% reimbursement subsidy. Commercial properties and multifamily properties can receive grants of up to $50,000, and single-family or multifamily homesteads can receive grants of up to $10,000.
Key improvements covered include exterior painting, landscaping, driveway hardening, impact-resistant windows and doors, and HVAC upgrades. However, this program excludes funding for private residences that are not homesteads, properties in foreclosure, or properties with existing liens or violations.
Grant applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants must provide required documentation including photo identification, contractor details and planning approval.
For more information or to apply, property owners are encouraged to contact the city. pip@margatefl.com Or call us at 954-935-5324.
