The Ministry of Foreign Affairs evacuated six Bahraini nationals from the Gaza Strip to Egypt through the Rafah border crossing. This is in fulfillment of the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, along with the follow-up of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and in line with the Ministry’s: This is in line with the Ministry’s efforts to undertake Interests of overseas nationals.
Ambassador Mohamed Ali Bahazad, Undersecretary for Consular and Administrative Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the Ministry’s Committee for Evacuation, expressed his gratitude to the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for its efforts that contributed to the success. Cooperation of all concerned to facilitate evacuation and Rafah border crossing.
Dr Bazhad said the ministry had taken all necessary measures to ensure the safe return of the nationals to Bahrain. He said the ministry’s consular affairs division would continue to monitor the situation in the Palestinian territories and accept inquiries about evacuation arrangements from residents remaining in Palestine.
