Al Najma concluded the fourth week of the 2023/2024 Zain Bahrain Basketball League with a resounding 93-72 victory over Isa Town last night.
After a tense opening third quarter, Najma pulled away with a strong performance in the fourth quarter.
Najma led 25-20 at the end of the first game and 46-42 at intermission.
The match remained close, with Najma holding a narrow 68-64 lead at the end of the third inning, but the winner launched a final cant with a 19-2 run to take the match far behind.
They held a 23-point lead by the final whistle. Three Najma players scored 20 or more points in this contest.
Joshua Caldwell had 23 points, including four 3-pointers, Elijah Robinson had 20 points and 11 rebounds, and Moheid Amer also had 20 points.
For Isa Town, which was playing without foreign professional players, Jehad Ahmed finished with 21 points and Talal Kaheri 18 points.
As a result, Najuma moved into the top half of the league standings with three wins and one loss, but Isa Town suffered three consecutive losses and remained one of three teams without a win.
