For those of us who fell in love with professional football in the 1970s, today’s nfl It was a scheduled viewing on CBS. There’s a good reason for that. Other than articles published in local newspapers (usually about local teams), there wasn’t much information or discussion about the matches held each Sunday.
Today, Sunday morning/afternoon pregame shows are more prevalent and frankly far less relevant than they were in the 70s. To stand out in a crowd of content, today’s nfl A new tomorrow may emerge.
As explained by Andrew Marchand, new york post, change may be coming. The contracts of host James Brown and analysts Boomer Esiason, Bill Cowher and Phil Sims are expiring. Only Nate Burleson (whom Marchand has indicated could become the show’s new host) is under contract to return, along with part-timer JJ Watt.
Sims tells Marchand that no matter what happens, he’s not going to quit.
“I’m never going to get out of there,” Sims told Marchand. “I don’t know what would happen if I didn’t go back to CBS. But I’m definitely going to continue working somewhere, somehow, whatever it is, with or in the NFL. Just saying, ‘Yes, I’m done. ” is not the case. I’m already retired. ”
It remains to be seen whether he will be able to finish the job during CBS’ 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM ET time. At 68 years old, Sims still has many years left to offer his knowledge and insight into the games he excels at.
