This week’s theme is recognizing and appreciating the blessings in each of our lives. Well, while identifying the positives, it is inevitable that you will encounter one or two negative events in your life. Can we turn those negatives into positives?
It’s time to stock up! out of stock! With the boys from Bet the EDGE.
baltimore ravens
John Harbaugh’s team sits atop the AFC North. Drew Dinsick (@whale_capper) likes their situation.
“I think this has a very good chance of being a top-two seed in the AFC. What they’ve accomplished so far in the season and their defense being sound and at a level where they can play every game possible. I think it definitely helps improve some of the issues, the issues with the offense losing Mark Andrews.”
The star tight end and favorite target of Lamar Jackson is out for the season with an ankle injury. As devastating as it may sound, Dincik says all is not lost in Charm City.
“They may not have been able to get to some of the things they wanted to do offensively. I think this is a very, very, very weak position, I guess Mark Andrews Because it’s obviously an incredibly valuable position come playoff time. But, you know, I think it could open up opportunities for the offense to continue to improve.”

Jay Croucher (@croucherJD) dismisses Dinsick’s optimism. He acknowledges the Ravens are good, but points out some cracks in their foundation.
“It’s a strange team at the moment with Lamar, and his PFF grade speaks to a great season. His efficiency stats are great just because he takes so many sacks and fumbles the ball. It’s not that great and they’re going to hurt even more without the Mark Andrews blanket.”
While he acknowledges that Baltimore is among the AFC’s elite, he also has concerns about their defense.
“Obviously a great defense, but they’re below average against the run. Joe Mixon was able to do the job against them in the Thursday night game. Jerome Ford had 100 on 17 carries on the ground. Deshaun Watson also completed 14 of 14 passes in the second half against the Ravens, despite dealing with a broken shoulder and high ankle sprain. I think it takes a lot.”
Lamar Jackson may still be worthy of MVP honors (+350). The Ravens are traveling west this weekend in Los Angeles and are favored by 3.5 over the Chargers on DraftKings.

new york jets
Zach Wilson is finally on the bench, but it appears to be too late for the 4-6 Jets, who are set to face the Dolphins on Black Friday. Tim Boyle got the start under center, but he did it behind a strong offensive line with another soldier heading into the Miami game (Becton).
The Dolphins are currently 10-point favorites to take on the Jets on DraftKings Friday at MetLife Stadium.
Drew Dincik believes all of the offensive woes are taking a toll on the other side of the ball for New York, which spells doom for a speedy Dolphins team.
“The Miami Dolphins defense is improving. They’ve got one of the fastest units on offense against a defense that’s been a little gassed. The Jets’ effort tank is a little low, and with the addition of Tim Boyle. I don’t know if they’re going to be able to play as hard as they can. Yeah, there’s a lot of warning signs that the Jets are ready to pull out here.”
Jay Croucher continued his analysis of Drew.
“I also think there’s a pretty good chance that Trevor Siemian is the best quarterback on the roster right now. It’s kind of scary to say it out loud, but that’s the reality.” , I think it’s going to have a ripple effect on other teams that are coming up on schedule. Great news for Miami. It’s going to be a tough game, but this time it should be a layup, and the Dolphins should play the Jets twice next month. Houston is playing the Jets. That’s good for the AFC South. Cleveland will also play the Jets later in the season. It will help them along the way as well. ”
Before moving on to the pod, Dincik revealed an interesting preseason ticket he has, which seems to be getting better by the day.
“I have a pretty high bet that the Jets will score the fewest points this season. Aaron Rodgers going down in Week 1 is not an accurate picture, but at this point… It’s very lively. The Jets, Patriots and Giants are going to be pretty close in the homestretch here, and for that I’d like to thank them for having Tim Boyle under center, because these Jets I don’t think I’ll be able to get single digits this week.”
As Dincik pointed out, a negative can be transformed into a positive, even if it means breaking a little sweat.
