The export value of domestic products decreased by 22% to BD324 million last month, compared to BD416 million in August 2022, with the top 10 countries accounting for 76% of the total export value.

The largest product exported from Bahrain in August 2023 was raw aluminum alloy, with a total value of BD90m.

According to the report, imports increased by 3% to BD534 million compared to BD520 million in August 2022. The top 10 importing countries accounted for 68% of the total.

The top products imported into Bahrain were non-agglomerated iron ore and alloy concentrates, with a total value of BD68m. Other aluminum oxide he was second with BD43m and gold bullion he was third with BD19m.
Regarding the trade balance, that is, the difference between exports and imports, there was a total deficit of 139 million BD in August 2023, compared to a surplus of 38 million BD in the same month in 2022, indicating an increase in the amount of the deficit. .
