Nashik: During the two days of Dhanteras and Lakshmi Pujan, the city’s auto and real estate markets were in a festive mood. Both sectors are hopeful of continued strong business with Diwali Padwa and Baubage festivals to be celebrated on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively. According to auto industry dealers, around 600 cars worth Rs 600 crore were sold during Dhanteras and Lakshmi Pujan festivals. . Additionally, dealers are expecting more sales over the next few holidays. The response from the two-wheeler was also good. According to available data, around 2,500 two-wheelers worth Rs 20 billion have been sold since Friday. Two-wheeler showroom director Bipin Bataviya said in front of Dhanteras that he feels business may not be good this year during Diwali. Around 200 apartments worth Rs 8,000 crore have been booked between Dhanteras and Laxmipujan, said Jayesh Thakkar, vice-chairman of the National Real Estate Development Council (Naredco). “The mood in the real estate sector has been positive since Dasara. Around 700 apartments worth Rs 280 crore were booked during this period,” Thakkar said. Meanwhile, Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) Deputy Commissioner (Social Welfare) Prashant Patil performed a puja at the civic headquarters on the occasion of Lakshmi Pujan (Sunday). All senior civil servants were present on the occasion.
