A West Nashville commercial building near the Cub Truck grocery store will be demolished and replaced with a new building that will house multiple components of local medical aesthetics business Smiley Aesthetics.
as post According to recently reported Davidson County deeds, the new owners of the Sylvan Park building are Mary Ford, Carla Pearson, Lori Smiley and Courtney Walker. The four paid $1.3 million for the property and were represented by Heather Thompson of Benchmark Realty.
Mr Pearson said: post The owners plan to demolish the existing one-story building in early 2024 and open a future two-story building with basement space by the end of the year.
The just-sold building is located at: 4912 Charlotte Avenue Located on 0.09 acres across from Richland Park. Nearby businesses include Rhino Booksellers and Streetcar Taps and Garden.
In addition to Smiley Aesthetics, the future building will house the company’s administrative offices, a men’s spa (basement level) and event space (second floor), Pearson said. Owners say they expect the project to have a price tag of about $2.25 million.
Southeast Venture is the architect and plans to give the future building a traditional exterior design that blends in with the facades of nearby buildings.
A feature of this project is that the future building will be constructed so that it shares a wall with the two existing buildings.
The last building to be demolished was Dragon Garden, an Asian takeout restaurant run by the Chung family. In the most recent transaction, the family was the seller, paying $205,000 for the property in early 2005.
Smiley Aesthetics offers skin treatments such as Botox, Juvederm, and Kybella. Pearson said the owners plan to continue leasing space at 7058 Charlotte Ave., near the building they just purchased.
Founded in February 2022, Smiley Aesthetics also operates clinics in Berry Hill, Mount Juliet, Knoxville, Bowling Green, Kentucky, Dallas, and Osage Beach, Missouri.
