In Colorado, local residents and firefighters worked together to rescue a horse that was stuck in a swamp and in danger of sinking. Front Range Fire Rescue shared about the incident on Facebook. The department said officers arrived at the rural property in Weld County and assessed the horse’s condition before requesting assistance from the Loveland Fire and Rescue Department’s large animal rescue team.
“At approximately 6:37 p.m. last night, Forward Fire Rescue (FRFR) responded to the rescue of a draft horse trapped in a swamp. The first firefighters to arrive were the Loveland Fire and Rescue Department’s Large Animal Rescue Team. “The crew worked together for three and a half hours to rescue the horse. Neighbors in the area also assisted first responders in the surgery. The horse was taken to CSU veterinarians. was immediately treated,” Front Range Fire Rescue wrote in a Facebook post.
