Dubai: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called for an immediate end to the escalation between Israelis and Palestinians.
In a statement released today, Saudi Arabia said it is closely monitoring developments that have led to an escalation of violence on various fronts in the region.
Saudi Arabia called for Forxn, protection of civilians, and restraint by both sides.
Recalling previous warnings, Saudi Arabia emphasized the risks posed by the continuation of the occupation, denial of Palestinian rights, and provocations against holy sites.
Saudi Arabia also advocated for a credible peace process leading to a two-state solution, which is important for peace in the region and security of civilians, and called on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities.
Oman demands immediate détente
Meanwhile, Oman’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also called for an immediate end to the escalation between Israelis and Palestinians.
Oman’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on Saturday that it was closely monitoring developments that led to an escalation of violence on various fronts in the region and called on both sides to act with restraint.
“The State of Oman is following with interest and is concerned about the ongoing escalation between the Palestinian and Israeli sides as a result of Israel’s continued illegal occupation of the Palestinian territories.”
“The ongoing Israeli attack portends serious consequences and an escalation of violence. We urge both parties to exercise utmost restraint and the need to protect civilians,” the statement added.
Qatar calls for détente and restraint
Meanwhile, Qatar also called for de-escalation and restraint, holding Israel responsible for the current escalation resulting from Israel’s continued violations and rights violations against the Palestinian people.
Qatar expressed deep concern over developments in the Gaza Strip and called on both sides to immediately stop escalation and exercise maximum restraint, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The ministry stressed the need for the international community to act urgently and oblige Israel to stop its serious violations of international law and respect international legitimacy resolutions and the historic rights of the Palestinian people.
It reiterated Qatar’s position and commitment to the justice of the Palestinian cause and the right of the Palestinian people to establish an independent state in the 1967 territory with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Bahrain calls for détente and restraint
Bahrain on Saturday called for restraint in the Gaza Strip, saying continued fighting would have a negative impact on peace and stability in the region.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized “the need to reduce tensions between all parties in order to protect the lives of the people.”
“Continued violence undermines efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace in the Middle East,” he said, calling on the international community to end armed conflicts and protect civilians.
