Riyadh — Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiya concluded his two-day official mission in Bahrain after discussing facilitating the arrival of pilgrims to the Kingdom.
Dr. Al-Rabiya welcomed tourists coming to Saudi Arabia from Bahrain for the purpose of visiting the Two Holy Mosques and historical and cultural areas in various cities of Saudi Arabia.
He noted that the qualitative initiatives provided by Saudi Arabia have contributed to facilitating the Umrah process and the visit of people in Bahrain.
During the visit, Dr. Al-Rabia and his accompanying delegation were welcomed by Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain.
Dr. Al-Rabia expressed his gratitude to Crown Prince Salman for his keenness and concern for increasing the level of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in all fields, especially regarding the service of the Guest of God.
The Crown Prince of Bahrain was briefed on the objectives of the Pilgrim Experience Program, which is part of the Saudi Vision 2030 programme.
This program will enhance and enrich the experience of Umrah performers and Hajj pilgrims, as well as review the most prominent works, projects and facilities implemented in this aspect.
Prince Salman praised the efforts made by Saudi Arabia to facilitate the performance of the Umrah and Hajj rituals and its keenness to develop protocols for pilgrims.
Dr. Al-Rabia also met with Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister of Bahrain, and Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior of Bahrain.
During the meeting, the Minister of Hajj and Umrah expressed the robustness of the outstanding relationship that unites the two countries and the continuation of bilateral coordination between the two countries regarding services for pilgrims.
Additionally, the Saudi Minister met with Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Mawda, Bahrain’s Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, as well as a number of officials and relevant authorities in the field of Hajj and Umrah.
During the meeting, officials from Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and Bahrain’s Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments discussed the system of serving God’s guests in Saudi Arabia.
The officials met with the aim of discussing cooperation and integration aspects as well as reviewing initiatives and facilities provided to achieve the satisfaction of pilgrims.
Dr. Al-Rabia also met with a number of heads of Hajj and Umrah-related companies in Bahrain and affirmed the quality of services and expanded efforts provided to pilgrims coming from Bahrain.
The Saudi minister said that residents of Bahrain can obtain an e-visa, a one-year multiple entry visa, which allows the holder to stay in Saudi Arabia for up to 90 days.
This will allow them to perform rituals in Mecca and Madinah as well as visiting many other cities.
As the final activity during his official visit, Dr. Al-Rabiya inaugurated the Nusku Platform Forum, which witnessed the attendance of a large number of Bahraini officials.
Bahrainis visited the exhibition and toured the pavilions of Saudi service providers, including hotels, transportation and travel planning.
The purpose of the forum is to introduce visitors in Mecca and Madinah to Bahraini partners who utilize the services provided by the Nusku platform.
It is noteworthy that more than 250 partners from the Saudi and Bahrain private sectors actively participated in this forum.
This forum was held to strengthen partnerships and build bridges of cooperation to provide the best services to Bahrain’s pilgrims and visitors.
